Lucia Sorba is Associate Professor at the Department
of Physics of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
After graduating at Rome University of La Sapienza, she has been
a post-doctoral research associate at the Fritz-Haber-Institut in
Berlin, and permanent research staff member of National Research
Council (1986-1999).
From 1988 she has carried out her research activity at the TASC-INFM
National Laboratory in Trieste.
From 1997-1999 she has been research fellow of the Alexander von
Humboldt Foundation at the Walther Schottky Institut in Munich (Germany).
From 1999 she is responsible of the high mobility MBE activity
at the TASC-INFM National Laboratory in Trieste (Italy).
Her research activity is focused on the synthesis and characterization
of epitaxial semiconductor materials. She has over 15 year experience
on the Molecular Beam Epitaxy Technique. In the last years her research
activity is focused on the synthesis of high mobility two dimensional
electron gas in AlGaAs/GaAs and InAlAs/InGaAs heterostructures and
on the study of the low temperature magneto-transport properties
of such systems.
She is referee of several major international scientific journals.
Se has published more then 130 papers in international journals
