Elvio Carlino on May 1, 2001 became the head of the
center for electron microscopy at TASC-INFM National Laboratory. Since
1985 his main interest has been in the field of the Transmission
Electron Microscopy (TEM) and its application to the study of materials
of technological relevance.
From April 1997 to April 2001 he was the head of the microstructural
research laboratory of the PASTIS-CNRSM (National center for the
research and the development of materials at the scientific and
technological park of Salento).
Since 1995 he is reviewer of Journal of Applied
Physics and Applied
Physics letters. He is also reviewer for Philosophical Magazine,
Ultramicroscopy, Material Science and Engineering B, Microchimica Acta, Micron,
Microscopy Microanalysis and Microstructure, Physical Review B, Physical Review letters.
On March 2001 he was nominated by UNI as italian expert in the
TC202/SG3 to elaborate a standard procedure for EELS experiments in TEM
.
Since 2003 he became project evaluator expert for the Italian Ministery
of the University and Scientific Research.
On 2004 he has been invited as project evaluator expert for the Regione
Emilia Romagna.
On 2004 he has been invited as project evaluator expert for Regione
Veneto.
On 2003 he has been invited as a member of the scientific commitee of
the center of excellence named NAMAM (Nano and Microscale
Characterisation and Development of Advanced Materials)
funded by
European Union and realized by the Polish Academy of Sciente in Krakow.
